1. In a previous discussion we decided to remove the shadow on the words on the graphs to make them easier to read. +under discussion 2. When the ruler appears, please put the zero mark of the ruler in the center of the disc, since the ruler does not start at zero. +centered the ruler 4. If I use playback, then clear, record a full graph, then hit play back again, it starts where it last stopped rather than at the beginning of the graphs. +clearing a graph now correctly resets the playback time to 0 5. There was a note in the last email that said we need to label the slow fast slider differently because it’s not clear at all that this is referring to the simulation speed and not the speed of the platform or some other “real” object in the sim. I’ve suggested simulation speed. +Since vertical space is a precious commodity here, I put a "sim speed" label between slow and fast. Let me know if you prefer something different 6. On the first panel when I grab the platform and give it a push, it will go extremely fast (arrows all off the screen), but the velocity slider will read something quite reasonable like 100 degrees/sec. If I move the velocity slider at all (increase or decrease the velocity) then the platform slows to the expected speed. +added ability to display textual values outside of slider range 7. (From old email) I can have show beetle graph checked but nothing graphs unless he’s on the platform. Then when I pull him off the platform, all his data disappears. If his data graphs, it should not disappear when I move him. He can stop graphing but the data that has been graphed should not go away. 8. (From old email) On playback the colored values on the graph update actively for the platform but not for the ladybug – that number remains where she ended. 9. The speed that the bug flys off is well beyond the speed that my computer is able to keep up with the simulatoin. At 6 rad/s the vectors are off the play area and by that point the platform does not appear to move faster but the chunk of graphic that overlaps is worse. Let’s have the bug fly off at 6 rad/s unless you think you can improve performance It’s pretty choppy now. 10. (old email) I think we need to have a warning come up when the user presses clear saying do you want to clear all graphs. 11. (old email) Definitely need a warning box for Reset All Sam, Maybe we need to use an outline instead. I was using the sim for quite a while last night on my desktop monitor which is set at 1280 x 1024 and I could barely read the numbers on the graphs. The size was not an issue, it was the colors.
